Iron man is a main member of The Avengers. His real identity, Tony Stark, is a multi-billionaire who created Iron Man while being held hostage, after suffering a chest injury, he builds this suit to help escape and save his life.  He ends up using the suit and successive versions to protect the world, at first he kept his identity hidden but he soon revealed himself to the world. Among all of the Marvel super-heroes, Iron Man is one of the most secular with regards to theology and formal religious affiliation, as read on multiple internet sources.

In many of the comics, Iron Man refers to himself as a “futurist.”

There is many speculation over Iron Man’s true religious affiliations, since he’s so secular around it, many believe he is atheist. There have been no formal published works in which there is a clear identification of Tony Stark/Iron Man’s true beliefs however; Tony has expressed his opinion religion multiple times through the series. He has prayed silently and out loud through the comics, and has vocally expressed belief in God, and in passive times he says such things like "you scared the devil out of me" (Iron Man 3 - the movie) however those espressions can alway be just a figure of speech like when any person uses "oh my god" reagardless of their religious affiliations.

He has exclaimed however, during the “Infinity Crusade” that he has put his faith into science.

One of Iron Man’s most distinguishable and known characteristic is that he is a recovering alcoholic.

“Iron Man has participated in Alcoholics Anonymous, a support group for people who wish to overcome alcoholism. Although pan-denominational in nature, Alcoholics Anonymous is a quasi-religious organization for whom belief in and reliance in God is officially a central tenet. It is not clear to what extent (if any) Tony Stark has an ongoing association with Alcoholics Anonymous. In recent years he has been shown inviting Ms. Marvel to attend AA meetings with him.” (source)

It’s safe to assume Iron Man is non-practicing for whatever religion he associates himself with. There are no formal publications that indicate his exact practice and there are many arguments on different religions he is affiliated with. He accepts his Avengers fellows on their religions and backgrounds, he’s close friends with many members of the Marvel Universe who do practice religion, such as Captain America and Thor.
