The Seven Deadly Sins
In Disney
Captain Barbossa
As the captain of the well known ship the Black Pearl in Disney's Pirates of the Carribbean, Hector Barbossa was a very greedy "man." He told stories of when him and the crew would collect treasure and gold, trade it and spend it to gain pleasureable company and riches. He admitted to being "compelled by greed" which is why he and his men are cursed, "we are consumed by it." The greed of the gold cursed the men, drink and food no longer have taste and the light of night shows who they truly are, not amoung the living so they cannot die, but nither are they dead as a result of their greedy desires.
GREED
Cruella De Vil
She definitely lives up to her name, cruel. De Vil is a head of a fashion empire it seems and is very into patterns. Once she sees the dalmation print she's determined to have all her clothes with that pattern, and with that fur. She wants it, and she does everything to have it. Hiring some guys to kidnap 99 dalmation puppies, so she can kill them and wear their fur. Her greed runs her, and ruins her. She wants that fur so badly that when the puppies escape, she chases them down and tries to kill them over and over, constantly failing and eventually being outsmarted by the dalmations altogether.
This sin is defined as the sin of excess. To have a rapcious desire for material possessions. Hoarding, theft and robbery (especially by means of trickery or violence) all fall under this sin.
