The Seven Deadly Sins
In Disney
Hades
Hades is one of the best villians to represent sin. Hades can definietly represent more then one sin, like Wrath and Greed, but he also can represent Pride. In Disney's Hercules, Hades is the God of the Underworld. He wants nothing more then to rule Mount Olympus and over throw his brother Zeus. He believes he's better then all the Gods and that he should be number one. His eqo often gets the better of him, and because of his over confidence in himself and his battles he's constantly beaten and angry. As pride is defined to believe one is essentially better then others and excessive admiration for the personal self, Hades definietly can represent this sin to the fullest.
The Evil Quen
With pride being defined as having the belief that one is better then others, and having excessive admiration for the personal self, I don't see The Evil Queen not being under this sin. Her other qualities highlight other sins, like envy, but pride would take the cake on her. She spends her time looking in a mirror, saying she's the "fairest of them all," which she is not as long as her step daughter, Snow White is alive. To kill Snow White, the Queen transforms her appearacne and poisoins Snow with an apple. She's so obsessed with herself in being the most beautiful in all the land that she must kill Snow, and goes to extreme measures to do that. Unfortunately for The Evil Queen, her sins cause her brutal death.
Pride
Considered the most serious of the sins, Pride is defined as believing that one is essentially better then others, failing to achknowledge the accomplishments of others, and excessive admiration of the personal self. In Dante's Inferno he refers to pride as, "love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one's neighbour."
